Editing means that a translation is read trough once again to spot for example spelling mistakes. As a translator one tends to no longer see ones own work, no matter how accurate one works. An outsider view can then come in handy to scrutinize the text once more and polish off the possible imperfections.

A language often represents a whole culture.
That is why Understandable is not only tried and tested when it comes to languages, but also when it comes to history, literature and habits, things that for an insiders are invisible and so obvious at the same time. Outsiders often hit this invisible wall and do not have the time to climb over it.
Especially when interpreting, it can sometimes be so clear that, despite the fact that both groups may understand each others language up to a certain level, they do not understand each others customs. Understandable can then help to bridge those gaps and tear down these invisible walls. Sometimes just small gestures or petty facts can make a situation a lot smoother.
Language lessons and tutoring for English, Swedish and Dutch
Children learn languages without even thinking about it. Adults often have lost this gift of naturally absorbing a language. Learning a new language should not be a chore, but is unfortunately often considered as being frustrating and time-consuming. Understandable has therefore developed a tailor-made way of learning a language, with goal-oriented vocabulary and supportive grammar where necessary. We can start from scratch or polish a somewhat rough diamond, for example by working on technical terms or perfecting pronunciation. Lessons can be given one on one, or in group.
